Crème Chantilly
(Yield: 2 cups)
This is a lighter version of Crème Chantilly, having only about 42 calories, 1 gram of cholesterol, and no fat. It's better than my traditional recipe, which uses heavy cream. Thanks to the American Medical Association (The Family Health Cookbook, ©1997)!
1 1/3 cups nonfat vanilla yogurt
2/3 cups nonfat sour cream
1/8 teaspoon vanilla (or almond) extract
In a small bowl, gently combine the ingredients. Use immediately, or refrigerate up to 24 hours for other use.
